Broadcasted on Friday 26 July, 11am Cubitt Community Radio

LISTEN BACK HERE Conversation: Seán Elder & Fiona Wilson

In this online broadcast, Cubitt Curatorial Fellow Seán Elder talked to their mother, Fiona Wilson, an NHS nurse for over forty-years about her relationship to Nursing and her experiences of nursing at two key points - when HIV/AIDS reached Sydney’s historically large LGBTQ community, where she was nursing at the time, and during the Covid 19 pandemic where she worked on the emergency end-of-life care ward.

This broadcast was the final instalment in the extended programme for Kirsty Russell’s exhibition Practising Bodies which concludes Saturday 3 August. As with all Cubitt events, this broadcast is free. However, the artist and curator encourage attendees to make a donation to a charity of their choice in support of Palestine.
