Artist Julie Rafalski runs a monthly, free urban photography walk for local older people
Using different mark-making techniques, students express emotions of fear and contentment, and states of slowness and speed.
To celebrate the end of the year the students on the Independent Practice Project staged an exhibition at EGA School of the work made across the year.
Julie Rafalski is on a studio residency at St. Luke’s Centre where she works on her own visual art practice alongside delivering photography workshops for the older people using St. Luke’s Centre.

Cubitt Education worked with students from Elizabeth Garret Anderson and Highbury Grove Schools to create a series of visual interventions and lampshades for Hornsey Road Baths.

On 1st February 2012 we launched four new Community Studios at St. Luke’s Community Centre on Central Street, EC1. The studios are home to 8 artists, working in a variety of mediums, from photography to sound art. They will run workshops and activities for members of the Community Centre, alongside hosting open studios.
