We run termly projects and an annual Summer School where young people work alongside contemporary artists in a fun, collaborative and experimental environment.

If you join the Institute, you’ll gain practical art skills and learn about contemporary art. We’ll support you to take your art practice to the next level and think about your creative future. Many of our projects are accredited with an Arts Award, a nationally recognised qualification. It’s also a great way to make friends.

Find out about our Spring 2018 project with sound artist Sophie Mallett here. See what the group got up during our three week 2017 Summer School, Woven Stories.

We are a community anchor for Central Saint Martins (CSM), University of the Arts (UAL) London. We work with their Widening Participation team, who deliver Insights. Insights aims to give young people insights into courses run at the university and a snapshot of what it is like to study at UAL.

“The artists were very clear and confident when teaching. They respected my ideas, and helped me to develop them.” Institute of Anything member

“I learnt to come out of my comfort zone and set myself a challenge.” Institute of Anything member
