Institute of Anything Arts Award Celebration Event

We were delighted to get our Institute of Anything Woven Stories summer school cohort back together last week. Young people, family members and teachers braved the cold to celebrate the group’s fantastic achievements, in which 12 young people gained Arts Award Silver, and four attained Arts Award Bronze.

Cubitt studio artist members, Sarah Pickstone and Jessie Flood-Paddock supported the event. Sarah presented the group with their Arts Award certificates, praising their imagination and commitment. While Jessie led a workshop where our guests got busy with UV wool and neon stickers to repurpose a piece of her sculpture into a UV installation.

The Institute of Anything will be kicking off in 2018 with a project led by artist Sophie Mallett. The group will be exploring identity, belonging and nationality together through writing lyrics, exploring sound and making flags and banners. Find out more and how to join here.

Thanks to all who attended and congratulations!
