Cubitt Seniors Art School: Marionette Project

The Cubitt Seniors Art School have been making self portrait marionette puppets with artist Darren Marshall at Claremont Project, including scenery, prop-making and writing their own narratives.

This will be Darren’s last project with the group, which he has been running for the last 6 and a half years! We will all be very sad to see him go, but have had a brilliant time making all sorts of nonsensical, fantastical, magical and surreal creative projects over the years. Have a look at a small selection here.

Good news though – we will be continuing the Cubitt Seniors Art School, inviting experienced artist educators to run experimental, 6 week projects as part of their own practice. This will explore new fields of animation, 3D painting, film, installation and more!

The free art classes run at Claremont Project on Mondays 1.30 – 3.30pm.
