Can you help a talented young person to achieve their goals in the arts?
We’re looking for artists to provide voluntary one-to-one support to disadvantaged young people, aged 14-16, who are talented in art but require extra guidance to achieve their full potential. This is a rare opportunity for practicing artists to be able to share their expertise with young people who could really benefit from their support and at the same time gain valuable skills and experience in arts education.
What we need from you:
- Artists will work with a young person to develop a body of work and put on a public exhibition.
- We do not require artists to have previous experience of working with young people, although enthusiasm and an interest in arts education is essential.
- Artists will be expected to devote 1-3 hours each week for a period of at least six weeks to supporting their young person, including planning and delivering one-to-one sessions and accompanying them on trips to exhibitions and museums.
If you are interested in taking up this opportunity, please fill in and return the expression of interest form to firstname.lastname@example.org by 14 January: CubittYoungArtistsFormFinal
